Kinetic Typography

This kinetic typography project is a great example of my experience using After Effects for timeline animation as well as animating the text stretching and changing it.

Using settings already built in to After Effects I animated the text across the screen and changed the shape of the text to exaggerate it in animation to match the words the text is synced up to.

I used an audio clip from the movie "Role Models" for this class project.

The image below is a screenshot of the timeline for a composition that had other compositions in its timeline.

The above image is a screenshot of the timeline for one small text animation.

I animated the sections in small groups and then saved each one out in to a new composition, to stay organized. In some compositions I embedded other compositions in in the timeline to make animating the whole set of layers out of a scene at once easier.

If you look closely you can see the key frames in the timeline that show where an animation begins and ends.

To the right you can see a much lager screenshot of the list of compositions created for this project, and that is only a partial list. You can tell from this list that naming items in a certain way is crucial to staying organized.
